Shifter Sans is a display typeface that is being designed as one of the cornerstones of the rebranding effort by Portuguese independent media company Shifter.
The typeface was conceived as both vehicle and symbol for how Shifter defines itself: cooperative, creative, independent. The new Shifter logo is also set in Shifter Sans. The project was art directed by João Ribeiro and Daniel Hoesen.
Shifter Sans is a typography that has no need to come up with the product all refined, gives body to the phrases that define the brand with attitude, rigor and clarity, always leaving a side open to criticism and interaction translated into its simple and elastic design.
