F1.8 is a sans-serif font with a constant width stroke that follows the basic rules of machine engraving typefaces. Initially, it was planned to be released as an upgraded version of F5.6, but since the concept has changed considerably, it is a different font.
F1.8 is inspired by the font used by Leica, but arranged in a more modern way and reconstructed as a display typeface. While incorporating geometric elements, it has balanced straight lines and curves so that they do not look stiff as a whole.
