Wolgadeutsche is the font that was created while working on the logo and new stylistic design of the local history museum in the city of Marks, Saratov region.
The museum tells the story of the Volga Germans (Wolgadeutsche), the exhibitions show the life of the German colonies from the second half of the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century. In many documents of this time, various Gothic fonts were used both as the main and as display fonts, so the choice of historical references was obvious.
The sketches of most glyphs are drawn by hand and then translated into numbers, so the font has a predominantly ductal character. A difficult task was set and successfully completed: to make a font in the Gothic tradition where, with maximum decorativeness, good readability would be preserved.
