Suburbana is an experimental hand lettered font inspired by the work of letters painters responsible for making the most diverse signs in large urban centers.
The investigation was carried out based on a photographic survey in commercial establishments in the Subúrbio Ferroviário of the city of Salvador (Bahia, Brazil), including one of its largest circulation areas and which gave rise to the name of the source: Av. Afrânio Peixoto, popularly known as Suburbana.
