Intrigued by the supreme craftsmanship of two of the most renowned typefaces ever created, the iconic Helvetica and Bodoni, I sought to develop a typeface that bridges these two distinct realms. The resulting typeface, Helvoni, delves into a contemporary and experimental universe, skillfully merging two contrasting typographic legacies. Transcending the conventional functions of foundational typefaces, the result is a typography that is minimally tied to functional utility and heavily oriented towards contextual relevance.
This typography was selected to the "Project Gallery" in the 12º Nacional Typography Meeting, in Portugal.
