Capo Nodi is a decorative display typeface derived from drop caps reproduced in Muster-Alphabete: verschiedener Schriftarten in den neuesten Formen (1880) and referred to as "Initials based on an Italian alphabet from the 16th century" (Initialen nach einem italien Alphabet aus dem XVI Jahrhundert). The characters are similar to those of Ludovico Arrighi from 1529 and Giovanni Antonio Tagliente from 1539.
